"After many years of weaving "off loom", I gradually changed to natural basketry, then basketry on gourds. My pleasure comes from the use of natural materials grown in California,and the collections of shells, driftwood, beads and evergreen cones gathered over the years. These gifts from nature are combined with learned basketry techniques. At present my work is to use various types of coiled pine needles with imbedded cones on cut gourds."
